We (half-seriously) propose that the name for the ketamine molecule be changed to calliope because of its remarkably industrious action in so many areas of the brain at one time. The Calliope (kuh·lai·uh·pee) hummingbird is the smallest bird in North America, is native to Maryland, and is named after the Greek Muse for elegance and heroic poetry.
Our Vision
What We Believe
Mental health is your health. A healthy mind is vital to being physically healthy and vice versa. We believe that powerful medicines like ketamine and other psychedelics, soon to be approved by the FDA, are best administered in parallel with systematic and focused psycho-spiritual development. IFS (Internal Family Systems) is an evidenced-based model of the psyche (sometimes referred to as natural multiplicity) that offers a reliable roadmap for working meaningfully with non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC). As healers and health practitioners, we believe:
1. Your psyche has no “bad” parts
2. At your core, you have a capacity to heal, which may get shut down by chronic stress or fear, leading to symptoms
3. With the right emotional and biological support we can help your mind and body remember how to heal and grow
Our Team
We are in the process of putting together a team of caring and experienced, trauma-informed staff.
